Wild Flame: the Lynx

Worldwide, there is folklore around the mysterious apparitions which form above marshy waters and in the UK we call them will-o'-the-wisps. xTOPIA has reimagined this phenomenon by combining it with personal animal spirits, to create the Wild Flame collection. Featuring the majestic Lion or one of nine beautiful British Isles wild animals, they are all formed from wispy strokes of electric blue, moonlit silver and fiery orange, reflected by the waters from which they rise.

The Eurasian Lynx is just a bit smaller than a Labrador dog, and is adapted for navigating a snowy landscape. It used to thrive in the Scottish landscape but has been extinct in the UK for about 1300, but still lives across Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. There are projects to re-introduce this beautiful member of the cat family to the British Isles.
